Currently listening to Placebo's "My Sweet Prince." After sampling some of their new works, I'm really starting to get into them. The lead singer is some strange hybrid of Raine Maida of OLP and Bill Corgan, but his voice is still seductive chocolate syrup. The sound of the band borrows a lot from different styles of music and it plays on the variety. A song may start out on an acoustic guitar, quiet like a lake at night, till the end of the verse where a powerful blast of music sends you soaring into the boundless night sky...

(you see, if I could've just written something half that descriptive I would be satisfied with my poetry)

... but the thing that has made me fallen for Placebo are the lyrics. Almost all of their songs describes sex in all it's raw, kinky natures and unabashfully parades them.

Let's not forget that androgyny rules and the lead singer is the perfect example of that.
